Taking back the power
By TOM HOLMES
We are all wrapped in a conflict of paradigms, separated by our misinterpretations of whats possible and of what actually is real. We could decide to take back our world, to truly reclaim the Constitution, to demand legal jurisprudence, to condemn the purveyors of corporate destruction, to collectively destroy any social, political and corporate entity that does not live up to the sustainable standards that so many of us see not as a right or privilege to act upon, but a responsibility. If we decided to commit to this readjustment of our cooperative potential, we could transform our world, our river valley, our lives for the greater good.
The act of modeling the change and behavior we want to see is the only way to demonstrate to the broader community that we are serious. We are not the chosen people to receive all benefits. We are the chosen people to give. To survive, to flourish and to show the world of people like us who aspire to solidarity with us, who dont know where to turn or what to do, that we do know whats right, and just and true. It is our destiny and our great responsibility to do more, to give up and to sacrifice for one another.
Our water and air, the elixirs of a quality life, are on the verge of collapse if thousands of gas wells are drilled in our watershed. Our economy is about to destroy the retirements and lives of masses of people who have worked all their lives doing what they were told by a corrupt, insolent system. Our children rank in the bottom of the developed world in education, our health care system is dead last. This is our fault. We let corporate and corporate-owned government interests define our lives, our land, our moral instincts, our sense of self, our schools, our commercial enterprises. We deserve our privacy and our right to opt out of citizenship, but our responsibility to do no harm to others in our community and our world is a responsibility that determines whether we and successive generations survive the 21st century or not.
The new world we are creating right here in this pristine valley, one of the few left in the country, is the start of a new revolution. Here we create resources. We build our own geothermal power plants that pay each resident a dividend each year. We grow our own organic food and produce our own organic beef, lamb, poultry, eggs, vegetables, wines, beers, cheeses and specialty products. We build our own energy-neutral homes. We build our own fiber-optic networks. We provide the goods and services that we as a community with a vision of a sustainable future dream of. We throw the multi-national, global bottom feeders, the people and companies who would sell their children into slavery for a profit, off our land. We throw them out of our forests. We deny them access to our river and our water. We own this river valley, we own this country. We own this planet.
Lets build a community model we can be proud of, that can sustain generations of people with great wealth through community investment, clean food, water and air through zero emission solutions of sustainability, and political and social justice.
The solution is to stop participating in the corporate Disneyland they constructed for us, and to stop buying their way of life. Its called non-participation or total boycott. All corporations that do us harm can be replaced with zero-profit corporations that pay their community sponsors a dividend. Its called freer enterprise.
The greatest fear of the politicians, ruling elite, corporate elite and illuminati is that someday, before we all are chipped and completely enslaved, that we wake up. You have about six years.
